Project Builder & Co-Presenter with Guidance
Maker Faire Bay Area | 2015
THE CHALLENGE:
Built a Raspberry Pi project box and co-presented an introductory session on cameras, sensors, and interactive computing at Maker Faire Bay Area.
The project provided a practical way to introduce Raspberry Pi capabilities to beginners. The presentation connected the board and its peripherals to recognizable applications such as taking photographs and responding to nearby activity.
THE SOLUTION:
I built the Raspberry Pi box with my dad and used it as the centerpiece of our Electronics Stage presentation, “How to Become a Jedi with Your Raspberry Pi.” We discussed camera use, sensing, security-camera applications, and photo sharing, along with common sensors that could be connected to the Pi.
The box gave the audience a physical reference while we explained how a small computer could interact with its surroundings. The emphasis was on making the technology approachable and showing a path from introductory concepts to practical projects.
