Programming & Co-Presenter with Guidance
Maker Faire Bay Area | 2014
THE CHALLENGE:
Helped program an Arduino electric flower and presented the project on the Maker Faire Bay Area Electronics Stage, introducing an audience to beginner electronics through a tangible demonstration.
The project connected introductory programming with a physical electronics demonstration that could be explained to a broad audience. Preparing for the presentation required understanding how the program related to the project’s behavior.
THE SOLUTION:
The team compared quadcopter and hexacopter arrangements, propeller I worked with my dad on the Arduino Electric Flower, contributing much of the programming while he helped me understand the electronics and system operation. We then presented the project together on the Electronics Stage at Maker Faire Bay Area.
The presentation used the completed project as a starting point for explaining how code can control physical hardware. It was my first Maker Faire presentation and an early opportunity to communicate a technical project in public.
